I start this with a deep internal groan…   I think the acronym for it is BOHICA… Bend Over, Here It Comes Again….  Merry Christmas America!

The United States Senate finally did their dirty deed, and have succeded in giving us a Christmas gift we may never forget…  and so they are most of the way there in shoving so-called health care reform [that the majority of Americans have already rejected] down our throats… we are told that we are gonna have to like it.  Well… I don’t like it, and I’m not gonna just lie down (nor will I bend over) and just take it!

My New Year’s Resolution for 2010 is simply to call, fax, write or email at least one of my representatives each and every day for the next year, to give them an ear-full of my thoughts about their dastardly deeds, and so they will no longer be able to ignore me, as the likes of Barbara Boxer is apt to do.  (Dianne Feinstein is at least a cut above, in that she nearly always sends me a nice letter back explaining to me why I should like bending over and taking it some more, and how her diametrically opposing views will be good for America.

I believe it was Ted Nugent that once said something like: “If your representatives don’t know your name, you aren’t doing your job [as a citizen]“.  I intend to get these elitists’ attention.  I’m pretty sure we’re going to get their attention come election time though… most of these folks need to be removed from office, and replaced with representatives who will read, understand and follow (support and defend) the Constitution, like all of the current ones swore an oath to do.  To borrow a phrase from The Hitchhikers’ Guide to the Galaxy, they’ve “stomped on, buried it under soft peat for three months and then recycled it as fire-lighter”, our Constitution, and I will take it NO MORE ! I will continue to keep the oath I took as a member of the U.S. military.

————  BTW, See My Relevant Political Bumper Stickers :) ————

We the people need to ask each and every elected official, both current and those running for future office if they have read the Constitution, and if not, why we should elect them therefore, since they will be required to swear an oath about such things….  We MUST hold these people accountable for what they have done to our country.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Our Dear Heavenly Father,

You are the Creator of the Universe, and everything in it, and what you made is so awesome, and we thank you for putting us where we are so that we can enjoy it!

Today, we gather here once more on this Thanksgiving Day, to thank you, Father, for providing for us this wonderful meal, as well as the fact that You have blessed us in so many ways this year, even in the middle of such things as the economic turmoil and wars. So we thank you, Lord, for all of the many blessings You have given us, and we thank You for all of Your future blessings as well.

Some of us have lost loved ones over the past year, and we ask that You will give a special blessing to those whose lives are affected, and that you would give special strength to them, especially during this time of year. Lord, we also ask that You would help us to remember those people among us that have lost jobs, and sometimes everything they own, and that you would remind us that as you have blessed us, that we should look for ways to give of our lives and our treasures to those who are in need among us. Please help us to look for ways to help others as we go about our daily lives.

Lord, we pray for those in authority over us according to the Constitution of the United States. We ask You to give them wisdom to lead us under Your direction, and that they would not follow their own desires, but rather Your leading in their lives.

Finally, we thank You, Lord, once again for all that you do for us, each and every day, and we ask for Your blessings for the year to come, but most of all, we thank You for sending your only Son, Jesus Christ who gave His life in our place, so that we might have life everlasting!

Amen!

[The following was written to a friend in response to his mention that he had been thinking about changing his party affiliation but that he really doesn't “know the difference between the Libertarian, Constitution and Green parties”, but knows that he is not satisfied with the candidates that his currently affiliated party is offering.]

Party Time - Something to Consider

Ok, I’m far from perfect… Lemme just say that up front… I’m human… but yeah, I DO know what is right, and what is wrong. It is light vs. darkness. The ruling parties in this country are unwilling to put up a fight for what is RIGHT!

As far as the differences between the Constitution, Green and Libertarian parties, it’s rather simple, really.

The Constitution Party is what they say they are (like, as in… Let’s understand the reasons behind the language and substance of the Constitution, and then simply FOLLOW the Constitution as the supreme law of the land in every governmental activity)….

The Green Party is a bunch of leftists that wouldn’t think TWICE about raiding the National Archives and tearing the Constitution in a million pieces if they thought they could get away with it… except of course, they would keep a couple of sentences that are to their liking, such as: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…” {rip, tear} …”or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble…” {rip, tear} “…The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States…” {hack, chop…}

The Libertarian Party is of the mindset that they should be allowed to do whatever the heck they want, so long as their actions don’t infringe upon the similar rights of others… sounds great, until you learn that they don’t consider an unborn child to have any rights whatsoever… sure is funny that a couple inches of flesh and the act of traveling through a birth canal makes such a night and day difference in a person’s rights as a human being.

And no… the Republican Party is infected with the same disease that the other major party is stricken with; namely that many of the influential leaders are beholden to special interest groups such as oil and energy producers, unions, automobile [a lesser extent, aircraft] manufacturers, as well as “Other Powers-that-be” such as the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, and other such groups….

Now, before anyone throws me off a cliff and dismisses me as the latest nut-case, I would urge you to read a book entitled “Brotherhood of Darkness” by a friend (acquaintance, actually, but I consider him a friend) of mine, Dr. Stanley Monteith; it is available from http://RadioLiberty.com for about $12, and is well worth reading and understanding the influences that have shaped and are still shaping the world political scene, not to mention politics in the United States.

I came across this today… maybe you’ve already seen it… but this dude is worth a look at it!

The Status of HR 2998 can be tracked here

I have just completed a cursory read of H.R. 2998, as introduced on June 23, 2009. I have two basic themes in my response:

  1. I agree that the United States needs to become energy self sufficient using all methods available, both current and future, whether or not renewable, but with bias going toward renewable energy sources, and renewable energy technologies such as HHO gas (derived by electrolysis of water) where it can be used efficiently (HHO, so far, has been relegated to the ranks of individual experimenters who have DARED stand up to the oil behemoths), and

  1. I vehemently DISAGREE with the tenets of the leftists [Henry Waxman] leading the charge here that we need some sort of CARBON TAX or CAP-and-TRADE (cap and tax) system to somehow regulate carbon emissions.

Let me expand on issue number one:

This nation, and the world, needs to use the available natural energy resources wisely, whether they be crude oil, natural gas, coal, solar, wind, or safe nuclear power, coupled with technologies that have been around for a while and new technologies that can help us achieve a lesser dependence on hydrocarbon fuels. Some of these technologies can be seen in action on YouTube.com and other places by searching for such terms as “alternative energy”, or “over unity energy”. I’m sure some of these things could be hoaxes, but a good number of them appear to be very legitimate, and the oil companies surely wouldn’t want them to be developed commercially.

HHO Gas, or Brown’s Gas, is my current area of personal experimentation. Stanley Meyer, among others, had a car that ran exclusively on nothing more than water… yes… just water. There are currently hundreds, if not thousands of us currently experimenting with this technology, and it seems to hold great promise when combined with the use of ordinary hydrocarbon fuels, such as gasoline or diesel. WE WILL NOT BE DETERRED by HR2998, nor the oil companies, but why were HHO gas and similar technologies not included in H.R. 2998? Was it because of lobbying efforts of the EXISTING automobile manufacturers, whose only answer to date has been “We don’t have that kind of technology yet… it can’t be done…” and who have a vested interest in producing an electric vehicle that only goes about 30 miles before it needs a re-charge, or hybrids that get a measly 35 or 40 MPG? Look up Tesla Motor Corporation and see what they’ve done with the technology at their disposal. Move over, Ford, Chevy, even Toyota. Honda, to their credit, has developed and is marketing the Honda FCX (hydrogen fuel cell vehicle); that at least, is a step in the right direction.

Now for issue number two:

Cap-and-Trade, Cap-and-Tax, Carbon Tax… whatever you want to call it, is STILL A TAX that is going to paid by us, our children, and our grandchildren, for many years to come. It IS NOT going to be paid by corporations or other entities… corporations don’t pay taxes; people do… the costs of these types of taxes are ALWAYS ultimately passed on to the ultimate consumer of a product or service; and that is YOU and ME.

Cap-and-Trade is unnecessary, and is largely meant to force us to do what the Kyoto Treaty could not; which is to abandon our way of life for that of third-world countries, while not being allowed to pollute the environment like they still can. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m an environmentalist myself. I believe we have a great responsibility to preserve what God gave us here in the universe in which we live. That having been said, FORCING the populace to change their lifestyle AND be taxed for it at the same time is pure insanity.

This nation is already reeling from the financial woes brought on by the over-consumption economy that sprang up after World War II, which culminated in the average American family having not only a sports car in every garage, but an SUV to boot; not to mention huge screen TV sets, huge houses, an i-Pod for every kid, etc. I am not against these things, IF one can afford them. The average consumer cannot, however, as is evidenced by the large number of foreclosures on homes, and the cinch put on them by higher than normal fuel and food prices.

I used to ask myself (and my wife), “How do all of these people [around us] afford the big houses, with the brand-new SUV or European sports car sitting in the driveway, the big-screen TV in the big living room?” Now I understand. You see, we don’t own a flat-screen TV, and ALL of our three cars (we actually NEED 3 vehicles, as I have to drive one to leave at a distant airport all week, so I can fly air-freight for a big white, purple and orange air carrier all week) are older than 1994 models; one is a sports car, one is an SUV (4WD pickup), and we’re STILL not saving as much for retirement as we should be. We’re not bankrupt though, and have not been foreclosed upon… yet. If we are taxed more, we just might become a statistic.

The bottom line: Americans need another tax, by whatever method it comes, like they need a hole in their head. When are the politicians going to sit up and take notice of what they are perpetrating on their constituents? When are the “commoners” going to sit up and take notice of what their hallowed incumbent politicians are doing to them and their grandchildren? Cap-and-Trade is a horrible idea.

This article is in response to Thomas Hawk’s recent article about Flickr User Shepherd Johnson’s recent censorship experience over his criticism of Barack N0Bama on Flickr.—————

While I’m saddened that Flickr has done what they have done, as the owner of a family-friendly blog hosting service, I’m going to have to agree with Antonio Piccolboni, who commented earlier. Flickr is a Business Entity, a Corporation, and as such constitutionally has a right to IT’S OWN freedom of speech, the same as that of an individual. Flickr can allow or deny the posting of ANYTHING they want, and they are 100% justified in their censorship. CONGRESS, on the other hand, “shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

I don’t have a Flickr account, and although I am a photographer in need of a place to show my pictures, maybe Flickr is just not my type. I’ll have to give it a second thought.

As the owner of BlogFloggers.com, I have EVERY right to censor whatever is on that site, no matter who puts it there… and I DO! People who don’t like it can, and will, go somewhere else to propagate their filth… good riddance!  I will have to say though, I only draw the line from a decency point of view… all political views are fine at BlogFloggers.com Flickr is probably guilty of drawing the wrong line, although they have every right to do so.  :)

A friend sent me a link to something he Dugg, so I thought I had better put in my two cents, for what it is worth.  The original Digg is here.

I’m resurrecting my 1989 SAAB 900 SPG [again], (having done so with an engine and transmission overhaul in March of 2000, total cost was $9200); now with a badly needed paint job, miscellaneous minor mechanical work and interior renovation, but all with a twist: making it more fuel efficient.  It now has more than 250K miles on it (don’t know for sure because the ODO broke years ago).

On average, I have gotten about 21 MPG under average conditions over the years.  A couple of years ago, I began experimenting with water injection, and in it’s present form, I get about a 10 percent increase in fuel mileage, just by spraying water into the inlet air duct downstream of the throttle valve.  You can see my blog about my experiences at http://H2OSaab.com .  Another fuel saving tweak I have yet to do anything with is add an HHO system.  I will be blogging that at http://HHOSaab.com.

I figured my last renovation cost me $85 per month over the past 9 years.  Even if you amortized it over 3 years, it would be a principal payment of only about $240 or so.  That’s a heck of a lot better than a new car alternative.  All in all, it has only left me on the side of the road twice since I’ve had it (once just recently when the fuel computer took a dump).  The present renovation should cost me less than $3000, so if it even lasts another 5 years, I’ll be doing even better.

Dear Mr. President,

I am here to tell you that I am RESPECTFULLY PISSED OFF at your comment today (and those of your spokesperson, as well) defending your pick for Supreme Court Injustice, Judge Sotomayor’s racial bias. You stated something like “she brings her own [racial] background into her judgments”. You, Mr. President, have completely missed the point, which is that one’s racial background should NEVER be brought to bear in ANYTHING a judge rules on. PERIOD.

A [Supreme Court] judge is supposed to render judgements ONLY based upon how something applies to the U.S. Constitution, and if the basic tennants of the Constitution cannot be applied, then the issue is to be left to the States, or to the People. A PERSON’S RACE SHOULD NEVER BE ANY PART OF ANY GOVERNMENTAL DECISION, IN ANY BRANCH, NOOK OR CRANNY.

I may only have just a little over a High School education, sir, but I am NOT an IDIOT !

By the way… I didn’t mention what my own race is… DID I ?

(In response to an article on MSN)

Let it be known that some of us out here aren’t standing idly by, waiting for Ford, Chevrolet, and others to solve the problem, once and for all, which is the FACT that the U.S. is ADDICTED to foreign oil.  We, both political liberals (progressives, if you prefer), and conservatives like MORE

I was recently conversing with a friend over on Income$pace.com, and I agreed with her, for the most part.  While I realize our politics could vary greatly [about whether Obama is or is not a legitimate president... but lest I go there...],  I think that once the World Health Organization got involved (and is now pretty much calling the shots), we have given up any shred of our national sovereignty and therefore still having the ability to control our own borders….  In any case, even if such an order DID come from Obama, he is nothing more than a pawn [puppet] in this international game of wresting control from sovereign people, and giving it to unelected and non-representative FOREIGN / MULTINATIONAL entities, like the WHO.

Fear is a great motivator.  It causes people to do things they would ordinarily never do; to depart from their principals in favor of survival in the face of a threat, whether it is real or not.

So I guess what I’m saying here is that whether or not the Swine Flu, or more [politically] correctly, the H1N1 virus, is actually a grave threat to the populace, the mere fact that it exists is serving to accomplish the dreams of those who would want to break down all borders between countries, and make a new World Government.  I defer to the UN Charter…  when I find a link, I will post it; it’s an interesting read, and will open the eyes of those who have eyes to see what is really going on.  Here are a couple of links for starters:  http://www.sweetliberty.org/issues/un/un_sovereignty.htm http://www.un.org/aboutun/charter/
